Happy Mother's Day

So I know that I don't technically have a child yet but I am pregnant so Stephen figured that this is my first Mother's Day. It was such an amazing day. For breakfast Stephen made one of my favorite things, Roll-up Pancakes. I'm not sure that this is the official name for them but we called them when I was kid. They're kind of like crepes but more fluffy. Needless to day, THEY WERE AMAZING!!
This is what I came out to...after Stephen removed the "cloches" *the metal things, at least that's what Stephen called them :)* they looked like this...SO YUMMY!!
Because we are starving students I didn't want any presents but Stephen was amazing and found a little extra money to buy me a citrus zester, something that I've wanted desperately for a long time!
We had an amazing day at church and a great afternoon just hanging out and enjoying eachother's company, something we don't get to do that often anymore. For dinner Stephen made some steak, risotto and roasted asparagus. It was SO yummy!
Thank you, Stephen for making my first mother's day incredible!

Playing Catchup

I know it's been a few weeks but they've been a crazy few weeks. First my mom was in town for Ammon, my brother, and Brooke's, my sister, graduation.
While my mom was here I had a doctor's appointment and she came with me and I was able to have an ultrasound because they couldn't find the heartbeat with the heartbeat thingy, that's the offical name for it. It was really cool to have my mom there with me so she could see little Tiddlywinks first hand. It was also fun to see an actual baby when I looked at the ultrasound.
P.S. the reason the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat was because I apparently have this super placenta blocking the heartbeat thingy, which is a good thing I'm told.

Then Stephen's brother, David and sister, Christina, were in town for Stephen's other sister, Wendy's graduation. We spent a fun weekend with them playing Super Mario Bros Wii and a Harry Potter trivia game.

And then I started school yesterday. I'm going to try again after having to drop my classes last semester because of the noncooperation of Tiddlywinks but mostly my body. So keep your fingers crossed that I can make it through the semester this time because I'm getting kind of tired of taking the same classes over and over again in hopes that one day I'll actually be able to finish them :).

As for Stephen, well, he's working hard at work and preparing for the LSAT next month. He's getting SO excited to meet Tiddlywinks and so am I.

And the last and, in my opinion, the most exciting news is that we have a date for the "gender" ultrasound. JUNE 9th is the day!! YAY! I'll let you know when we find out. Any ideas what Tiddlywinks is going to be?

Enjoying the Warm Weather

So my brother and sister are both leaving Provo in the next few weeks so we've been trying to do some fun things together before they go. Last Saturday we went to Canyon Glen Park and had a bonfire. It was great, especially considering the last time we had a bonfire it rained like crazy :).

How to Tie-Dye Eggs

So I don't know if I can explain how to dye eggs with ties so I'll just
put up the link where I got the idea.

So to try something new this year we dyed Easter Eggs with ties. It was really fun.

Look What I Made!

I've been dying to make something for baby Tiddlywinks but because we don't know what Tiddlywinks is, I I've been reluctant to start sewing. Finally I decided to make somethings that would be unisex.Any baby would like books right? And I thought yellow ducks and turquoise could go either way.
I also couldn't resist buying some unisex clothes. I love Classic Winni the Pooh and I can't resist buying things that have Winni on them. Thus I now have a few onesies with Winni on them (they're yellow) and a cute beanie with Winni the Pooh's face one it. I also bought some yellow and green onesies that have some cute things on them. One says, "I love Daddy".
I CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT WHAT SEX TIDDLYWINKS IS!!

Some GREAT NEWS!!

So after a lot of trying we finally succeeded! I'm PREGNANT!!!! I'm about 10 weeks along. Today I had an ultrasound and got the first pictures of little Tiddlewinks (our name for it until we know the sex). It's an active little bugger. Even at 10 weeks it would barely hold still long enough for the ultrasound lady to get a measurement. But she did and I'm right at 10 weeks. We heard it's little heart beating, it was SO amazing! I'm so excited to be a mommy.

Boring, boring, boring...

I know it's been a while. Stephen and I have been SO busy! And we really don't have much to blog about either. We're both in school and working. I have bronchitis but am on the mend. Stephen is starting his LSAT study course, which is going to make us broke but it's well worth it, we hear.
